Wouldn't you know it? The most exciting, interesting, educational to others, things that seem to happen to me, are not things that I'll fess up to.
You see, I have issues. Not least of which is my "Doubting Thomas" mentality. Basically, I don't really believe something, until I see it, do it, experience it for myself. I mean, in my head, I understand things I haven't experienced, but mostly I don't relate it to me. Until it happens.
My wife has a wonderful saying regarding me: Nothing matters to you, until it directly effects you.
In a nutshell, I suppose so. But happily, things effect me easily, as I'm very empathetic, and I have a huge concience. So things that almost, but not quite happen, are enough to send me on an internal downward spiral of "what if"'s. Especially when it involves my children.
So, buck up little campers! It's not all bad. :B
